After a hard day in the studio, potters can explore pleasant walks along quiet waterside footpaths.  The narrow sandy beach bordering the River Orwell is only 600 yards away and easily reached by footpath.   The River Stour is about twice the distance in the opposite direction.

A short drive will take you to Pin Mill where the peaceful view form the waterside pub is of traditional sailing barges and fishing smacks.  We are only a short drive from Dedham, Flatford Mill and East Bergholt made famous by the paintings of John Constable.

If a stroll to the pub or marina is your idea of relaxation, both are a short walk away.  From here you can watch enormous ships docking in Harwich (on the opposite bank) whilst you sip a pint or eat an excellent meal.
